Pour son premier long-métrage, l’artiste Jake Chapman, bien connu pour ses créations avant-gardistes provocatrices et décapantes qu’il réalise avec son frère Dinos, adapte un de ses romans, et retrouve sa verve « sauvage ». Une relecture perchée d'Alice au pays des merveilles, La Belle et la bête et les romans Harlequin, avec Rhys Ifans (The Amazing Spiderman, Harry Potter) et Sophie Kennedy Clark (Nymphomaniac, Black Mirror) dans les rôles principaux. Le film qui a médusé le public du dernier Brussel International Fantastic Film Festival.
