The life and times of turbulent and provocative hardcore punk singer GG Allin, whose lightning career is a series of memorable shows all ending in insults, piss, shit and blood. At 36 years old he died of an overdose and became a legend.
Rare are the documentaries that succeed in convincing fans and newcomers alike, but Sami Saïf meets the challenge. Already the author of much rewarded The Video Diary of Ricardo López, of the very personal Family or of Tommy, about musician Tommy Seebach, Saif closely followed the survivors and offers us rare and hallucinating images of the most excessive singer of them all. A perfect complement to the shocking Hated: GG Allin & The Murder Junkies, shown at L’Étrange over two decades ago.
