The Occult Sources
Two children wake up and wander through a nightmare town, on a fascinating nocturnal quest, full of strange creatures, nuns and disquieting hucksters.
Ten years ago we showed you the documentary Vampyres, a trip through international underground counter culture. Since then its author Laurent Courau has joined the famous Demeure du Chaos, and along with artist and businessman Thierry Ehrmann, they've written this trans-media project, made up of a web series and this film, that he describes as "a fairy tale for adults, horrific, surrealist, and tainted with esoterism". A true declaration of love to alternative culture, spearheaded by Kenneth Anger and Benjamin Christensen.
