Darik, a compulsive gambler owes money to a big casino that sends a strong-arm to retrieve their due. Darik has no other choice but to sell his grandparents property.  But as they move a stone stela, the two men are projected backwards in time, and will have to unite to survive in this long past era.

This energy packed first film, a breakaway from local productions, went round Asian festivals and won numerous awards, immediately focusing attention on its author. This nonsensical comedy reminds of Tsui Hark's first films as well as Shakespeare's Macbeth and marks the beginning of Yerzhanov's fruitful collaboration with producer Serik Abishev.
