On July the 22nd 2011, Anders Behring Breivik goes to the Labor Party Youth League's summer camp on Utoya island to massacre as many people as possible. 19 year old Kaja is on the island at the time looking for her sister when the events begin...

With this difficult subject, Erik Poppe (Ultimatum) is aware of his project's cleaving aspect, a project that he wanted to be "implacable, brutal and painful". During a long single sequence shot, with no effects and non-professional actors, he throws us face first into horror and questions our limits as spectators for a result that will upset many. The festival's shock sequence.
