How we love these two heroes, plastic alter-egos of the directors, whose genius is still intact. With their minimalist sets and stop motion animations of these little plastic figures, they still advocate tinkering and shoestring techniques in the service of poetic absurdity, a tribute to fantasy literature spinning off into unlimited delirium, a bit as if Jules Vernes had smoked too much pot....
