Story : Long Beach, California. Mandrian Pace leads a hyper organized network of car thieves. He receives a $400'000 order from a Mexican gang, who wants 48 cars each with very precise characteristics, in five days of time...
H.B. Halicki started his career as a stunt driver and becomes one of the most important of the time. With his first feature length movie, he tried to compete with Peter Yate's Bullit (1968) by orchestrating a memorable chase scene. An ambitious show, which inspired Walter Hill for Driver and was years later the subject of a very forgettable remake starring Angelina Jolie and Nicolas Cage.
