After World War One, a meteorological officer is sent to an isolated island in Antarctica, where the only inhabitant is an old russian lighthouse keeper. At nightfall they are attacked by mysterious marine creatures.

Following The Divide, Xavier Gens is back. Before The Crucifixion, soon visible in France, the filmmaker crossed the Pyrenees to adapt  Albert Sanchez Pinol’s novel, and he succeeds, with the help of scriptwriters Eron Sheean (The Divide) and Jesús Olmo (28 weeks later), in retaining the book’s deeply Lovecraftian atmosphere. A new take on the myth of the siren, with Ray Stevenson, seen in the Thor and Divergent sagas.

Sunday 10 September 2017 - 19:30 - Showroom 500 - In the presence of the team - Screening in partnership with the Ramon Llull Institute in Paris
