A man is shot in front of a Madrid bar by a sniper hiding in the building across the street.  The rest of the customers are trapped by this invisible but very real threat. Will these hostages be able to get along in order to survive?

For his thirteenth feature film, Alex de la Iglesia once again gets together with his faithful co-writer Jorge Guerricaechevarría and gives us a confined thriller that becomes a nihilist stage for his world views. Formally inspired, remarkably clear in its construction and use of the single location, The Bar is also certainly the author of Day of the Beast’s most socially committed film, more caustic than ever.
