Convinced that the end of the world will occur on December 25th 1995, father Ángel Beriartúa sets out to find the Antichrist, accompanied by a death metal fan and a TV show host.

A founding film that quickly became a classic, winner of many awards, Álex de la Iglesia’s second film immediately stood out in the spanish cinema landscape, and allowed many would be filmmakers to believe in an alternative production.  It’s no surprise the film has gained such a cult status today, as well demonstrated by the exciting documentary (Herederos de la bestia) also projected in this year’s festival.
