Authors of a previous documentary about actor Victor Israel (Los perversos rostros de Víctor Israel - The perverse faces of Víctor Israel) and of a reference work on Spanish fantasy movies (Silencios De Pánico - Panic Silences), Diego López and David Pizarro this time choose to look at one of the most emblematic and founding movies from all the spanish horror filmmakers’ generation, The Day of the Beast by Álex de la Iglesia. Not only does Iglesia himself and other members of the crew like Santiago Segura (Torrente), Terele Pávez (My dear neighbors) and script writer Jorge Guerricaechevarría intervene, but so do filmmakers Paco Plaza and Jaume Balagueró (the Rec tetralogy).
An insightful look at the movie and its rich descendance. The screening will be followed by an encounter with the two directors and many other guest filmmakers invited for this cycle.
Screening followed by an interview with both directors as well as many guests from the cycle.
