After two years spent behind bars for a crime he did not commit, Takanori, the son of a yakuza boss, is finally freed. He meets up with his fiancee and his brother Satoshi to propose that they raid the Yoshida gang.

The second film by Yûki Kobayashi (Kokô no tôboe) produced by Nikkatsu, Death Row Family is a noir comedy adapted from the work of journalist Tomohiko Suzuki, like only the Land of the Rising Sun can devise, with a savoir faire and outrageous violence (and Yoshihiro Nishimura producing). A delicious treat that’s also a charge against the codes of the yakuza world.
