In the town Shizuka, a young man tries to join a community of homosexuals who see life as a playground, and for whom each day is a permanent party.
Very freely inspired by a manga by Katsuhiro Ōtomo, Happiness Avenue is a sort of festive and provocative queer happening. Behind the camera, a 22 year old filmmaker, Katsuyuki Hirano, who first aimed at being a comedian but who would later become one of adult video's major figures of in the 90's. A libertarian comedy, with a very young Sono Sion among the actors.
