Diamantino is a huge football star, probably the best player of his generation. One day he misses a decisive goal and is thrown into existential throes, with manipulative sisters, a castrating star system and forbidden love.
In this fake biography played by Carloto Cotta (Tabou) of a character close to both Cristiano Ronaldo and Voltaire's Candide, pop references abound (Karate Kid, Howard Hawks, Iron Man) to better serve this political tale about today's conflicts. Grand Prize of the Critic's Week, Diamantino is the true revelation of two young filmmakers of a rather eccentric film.
