In 1983, Red Miller, a taciturn lumberjack, leads a quiet life with his woman Mandy. One fine day the mystical and charismatic Jeremiah Sand shows up, accompanied by a gang of hippies and scary bikers, who aggress the couple. This is the start of a merciless revenge.
Previously the director of the very promising Beyond The Black Rainbow, discovered at L’Étrange, Panos Cosmatos is back with this postmodern exercise that picks up 80's pop culture codes to better bend them. An authentic formal and narrative experimentation field that takes the stupendous Nicholas Cage, never where he's expected, on a baroque and joyfully excessive vendetta.
