In 1903, a finnish painter unveils The Wounded Angel, a mysterious painting showing two children carrying an angel on a stretcher. Much appreciated in Finland, the painting remains an enigma that opens the doors of imagination.
Be it in his documentaries (Investigation Into The Invisible World, Mysteries of Snæffellsjökull) or in his feature film The Thousand Wonders of the Universe, Jean-Michel Roux has always been fascinated by fantasy worlds and mythological beliefs. He's back with a documentary about the human soul, angels and the netherworld, that was nominated at the last Jussi awards (the Finnish Oscars).
