Kaduna, Nigéria. A group of teenagers turn their surroundings into a fantastic planet, creating scifi worlds using their smartphones and computer generated special effects, with their friends as actors, and fueled by their insatiable creative drive. In this multi-voiced autobiography, the collective  “The Critics” looks back on its 13 year history, with Pietra Brettkelly as co-director and screenwriter.
“Rather than giving in to anger, we make films to fill the void.”  Beyond a love of cinema, Crocodile tells an extraordinary story of resilience, a moving lesson in life on the power of dreams and imagination coming to the rescue of reality. From anonymity to recognition, The Critics must face their own mutation and the necessity to forge their own identity, at the risk of losing their innocence, much like children becoming adults.
