If French cinema is richer than we think whe it comes to fantastic and horror cinema, Eyes without face is most likely one of the most brilliant and famous examples of the genre, and is still considered as a reference. Over the years, it inspired Jess Franco (Miss Death and Dr. Z in the grip of the maniac), John Carpenter or more recently Pedro Almodóvar and Leos Carax.
