Seven bored young people on vacation spend their time on sex, alcohol and illegal substances. Suddenly they discover an old board game called Game of death and decide to start a game. But do they really know the rules ?
With ferocity and intensity, Sébastien Landry and Laurence Morais-Lagacé (90s hip series Polyvalente) present a very efficient film, based on a concept halfway from Jumanji, Battle Royale and Larry Clark’s world. Augmented by special effects by the Blood Brothers (Turbo Kid), who handle the ketchup angle, and by a fast paced script, Game of Death doesn’t forget to kick around the current retromania. Salutary !
