Oscar and his sister Linda are both surviving in Tokyo where they have recently settled. Oscar deals drugs and Linda works as a stripteaser in a nightclub. During a police raid, Oscar is killed, but his spirit, refusing to abandon his sister, wanders about and lingers in an immaterial swirl…
Enter the Void is probably Gaspar Noé's most experimental film, breathtaking when he drops narration in favor of the astral trip, aiming to adopt the perception of a soul extracted from its body. The astral journey shows hypnotic visions between dreams and abstraction where cinema becomes a mandala. Tokyo inspires Noé: we never recovered from the love hotel scene, where every sexual and spiritual fluid and all of human energy are flowing.

J.G. Thirlwell

A hallucinatory journey through color drenched Tokyo nights from visionary director Gaspar Noé. The surreal visions take you on a first person journey through life, death, birth and the urban cosmos.
