Between documentary and fiction, a portrait of Béatrice Dalle by Fabrice du Welz, centered around their common passion for cinema and the figure of Pier Paolo Pasolini.
Provocation, insubordination to the system, rebellion, that's her. Revealed by Betty Blue, Béatrice Dalle has always been discerning in her choices, from Marco Bellocchio's The Witches' Sabbath to Claire Denis' Trouble Every Day. The most punk actress of French cinema fascinates maverick filmmakers: if Gaspar Noé had already touched upon her autobiographical dimension in Lux Aeterna, it’s now Fabrice du Welz’s turn to dedicate an untypical, almost experimental and formally beautiful documentary to her, with Pier Paolo Pasolini as an entry point. Shot in black and white during a short period, thanks to the support of Anthony Vaccarello and Saint Laurent, this is quite a formal statement, poignant and thrilling.
