Two young shamans are called for by a rich Korean expatriate family living in the US, as they are worried about their baby’s abnormal behavior, that they quickly acknowledge to be the result of an ancestral curse. When they request the assistance of a geomancer, their footsteps lead them to a mysterious tomb in the mountains.
How long has it been since you saw an untypical ghost movie that surprised you and took your breath away? Bodies possessed by evil spirits, magic rituals, nocturnal exhumations: all the indispensable ingredients are here, but there’s more. Dominated by a haunting shamanic atmosphere, Exhuma follows an exemplary narrative progression, moving from a quiet mood to an unexpected intensity that reveals darkness…and the ghosts of history. With, as a bonus, a poignant and magnetic Choi Min Sink.
