Panic in Paris ! All the clocks have stopped. Only old Professor Drouin’s watch still gives the time. He’s soon nicknamed “Clock Head”. While his students investigate rumors, Fine Faisan, a crooked industrialist, will try anything to steal his watch.
Directed by a TV director accustomed to Jean Richard’s Maigret series, and who was also a supervisor and assistant director for Chabrol, Cayatte or Hawks(!), this is a superb philosophical tale in the style of Marcel Aymé, with an unforgettable Pierre Fresnay in the lead role, a work of unrestrained poetry, with an unexpected and beautiful ending.
