In the Los Angeles of the 20s, a little girl, hospitalized after a bad fall, becomes friends with Roy, a Hollywood stuntman, who is also wounded. As he begins to tell her an epic story, the limits of reality and imagination start to fade. The end of the tale could very well determine their own fates.
Presented here in its restored 4k copy, as cult as it may be, The Fall was never released theatrically. And yet Tarsem imposes such a flamboyant, baroque world with an aesthetic as colorful as its narration is multi-layered and swirling. On top of being a fabulous book of picaresque fantastic adventures, The Fall, in this fabulous tale, explores the vital necessity of storytelling.
