Mad with vengeance after his brother’s atrocious death, Marco, the adopted son of the Adattu family, has only one goal in life, to one by one slaughter the culprits. His quest will be a bloody and unimaginably brutal one.
An essential Mollywood (Malayalam spoken Indian cinema) figure, Haneef Adeni continues in the same vein as the badass action thriller Mikhael, of which Marco is a spin-off. He shares the Bollywood mannered visual language, here made to serve a choreography of hyper-violence, fueled by slow motion shots, Leonesque operatic directing or music video style editing. The composer Ravi Basrur graces us with his hardcore techno sound that decomposes movements and underscores a staggering gory escalation: it slashes, massacres, splurts, and explodes the limits of the showable and endurable like an Indian style Category III. You’ve been warned!
