After several disappointments in second-rank productions, actress beginner Sarah takes a role in a play but her stage partner is unfriendly with her as worrying supernatural events multiply backstage.
Meet Hideo Nakata's (Ring, Dark Water, Kaosu) come back to horror and Japanese ghost movies with the remake of one of his own work (Ghost Actress). This Nikkatsu production is performed by the pop singer Haruka Shimazaki (AKB48) and written by Ryuta Miyake, a specialist of the genre to whom we owe one of the episodes of The Grudge' saga which he written and directed : Ju-on - White Ghost.
