Group Exhibition from September the 7th to the 26th 2015 at the Cabinet des curieux.
From Plato to Ali Baba, through Sid Vicious and Timothy Leary. Sculpture, painting, photography, digital art, photo essay and other oddities. 21 artists for the 21st anniversary of the Etrange Festival, under the framework of laspirale.org at the Cabinet des Curieux.
In the beginning were the Word... and Code and Pixels ! Video fanzine then photocopied newsletter before it really found its shape in the cyberspace in 1995, laspirale.org was born in the early 90s in the cyberpunk upheavals, a trend who already joined the latest technologies and the strangest countercultures. The magazine hasn't stopped growing since, and features now hundreds of pages of articles, interviews and exhibitions all related to what's happening on the dark side of contemporary pop culture. In claiming again and again that the eccentrics of today announce tomorrow's world and that the most interesting cultural transfers consistently appear in the margins and in the most unexpected laboratories, far from the purring nap of institutions and mass medias.

Frédéric Voisin - Linocuts & Screen printings 2010/2015
Linocuts & Screen printings 2010/2015. Exhibition from September 3rd to the 26th 2015.
Born in 1957 in Paris, Frederic Voisin moved to Reims in the early 2000s with already a long route between Jamaica and England where his portraits of musicians have been featured in many music magazines and on numerous album covers.
Back in France, Voisin focused more on print through his field of expertise, linoleum engraving which is derived from woodcut. From then on, he relentlessly explores it and confronts himself to the great masters. In 2009, he illustrates The Book of Revelation (also known as St John's Apocalypse) and hangs it next to Albrecht Durer's at Le Vergeur Museum in Reims. Taking after the ancients' iconography, with a technique inspired by the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, Voisin uses this media to convey his critical vision of a materialistic and vain contemporary world.
