In the early 70s, Jong-dae and Yong-ki, two orphans who became tramps are recruited by a criminal triad. Separated during a fight, they climb the ladder of power. While the organizations fight over the territory of the Gangnam District, the conflict seems inevitable.

By instilling political stakes and strategies to his movie, Yoo Ha (Dirty Carnival, A Frozen Flower, Howling) brings some fresh blood into the Land of the Morning Calm's production who never wore a less appropriate name. Violence, torture, treason, the lampoonist Gangnam Blues sure promises his share of hard times and it peaks during a rainy muddy battle between the gangs.
