«Paris is a city that's both open and closed, candid and secretive. It's made of all the highlights that everyone knows, but also reveals strange scenes only to insiders, carefully hidden from tourists.»
It’s with these words that Philippe Bouvard introduces Paris Top Secret, a very spicy mondo film, directed by Pierre Boutang, author the previous year of Teenagers, another hallmark of the genre, and the producer of Paris Secret (exhumed and shown here last year). By showing us the most sensational and outrageous scenes from 1969 Paris, under the complacent gaze of a smug and condescending Bouvard, Paris Top Secret invents a sleazy and typically French mondo.
