Low level thugs steal a potion from a little genius who has discovered a way to enlarge beings. The giants will terrorize the population.
Village of Giants is quite a curiosity, mixing teen beach comedy with fantasy, while never forgetting to entertain its teenage audience and deliver what they expect: a manichean confrontation between good and evil teenagers, to the sound of surf guitars. Apart from apparitions by a young Beau Bridges and an even younger Ron Howard, Village of the Giants is characterized by its light and trivial approach to Wells’ satirical novel The Food of the Gods, as opposed to his later adaptation of the same novel, where he opted for an anguishing horror mood.
