The police are on the edge: their investigation of three murders has led their agents to a clandestine network of drugs and human traffickers, led by picturesque and sinister characters.
At first an assistant for Cocteau, scriptwriter for Bénazéraf, Pécas, or Boisset, co-writer of Laissez bronzer les cadavres (Let the Bodies get a Tan) with Manchette, Jean-Pierre Bastid is quite a figure of counter culture, and, at 86 years of age, an eternal rebel. Banned by Gaullist censorship for violence and incitation to debauchery, Massacre for an Orgy disappeared in its original version for decades. Imagine an anarchist Jean Rollin - with a pinch of Jean-Denis Bonan - and you’ll have confirmation it’s possible to mix obscenity and reflection: a political and experimental B movie.

Uncut version
A small investor discovers a scam threatening all the subscribers to a property hedge fund and takes upon himself to stop the massacre.
We’re used to Mocky’s cinema being a singular one. And yet Chut! is a true absurdity, one of the wackiest in his filmography. Jacques Dufhilo and Michael Lonsdale have a whale of time participating in this hysterical comedy worthy of Labiche, that assimilates the world to an insane asylum. Subversion through humor. Surprisingly, this infernal almost dream-like pursuit, with its excesses and its rhythm, announces À mort l'arbitre (Kill the Referee) . Larger than life, this political fable as only Mocky could make, confirms how empty his space is today. He had no equal when it came to evoke class struggles and the way governments swindle their electors.
