As a child, the shy Ryoichi dreamed of becoming a punk singer. Now, he is an anonymous sales assistant in a multinational company and fails to confess his arduous love for the beautiful Yuko. His life is turned upside down when he finds an abandoned turtle and decides to adopt it.
Sono Sion’s films (Strange Circus, Why don’t you play in hell ?, Tokyo Tribe) are increasing and are definitely not alike. Faithfull to L'Étrange Festival, he comes back, after his last year's Carte Blanche in this very place, with a new dynamite stick that combines punk music and kaiju eiga (Japanese monster film) with his obsessions. A highlight of this year's edition.
