Après avoir commis un meurtre dans un village hongrois, un footballeur africain se réfugie dans une ferme isolée, peuplée de parias qui ont mis en place un système d’esclavagisme moderne.

Le cinéaste magyar Szabolcs Hajdu est de retour après le timbré Bibliothèque Pascal (découvert au festival en 2010) avec ce film d’action aux allures de western contemporain. Accompagné de son fidèle directeur de la photographie András Nagy (avec qui il tourne son prochain film, une adaptation du Joueur de Dostoïevski), Hajdi icônise l’acteur ivoirien Isaach de Bankolé (Ghost Dog, Casino Royale, Noir et Blanc) et lui offre un de ses plus grands rôles, celui d’un héros proche des personnages de Sergio Leone et John Woo.
