Un soir, Meera abandonne son compagnon Arjun à une fête pour retourner à son bureau. Mais sur le chemin, elle est victime d’une agression. Elle s’échappe mais n’en demeure pas moins profondément traumatisée. Arjun décide alors d’organiser un séjour dans le désert pour que Meera et lui se changent les idées.

Si le cinéma de Bollywood est surtout connu pour ses comédies musicales colorées et légères, Navdeep Singh (déjà auteur du polar musclé Manorama Six Feet Under) prend un malin plaisir à égratigner les idées reçues. C’est le cas avec NH10, second film du cinéaste qui a échappé de peu à l’interdiction totale lors de son passage devant la commission indienne, et qui rappelle le mythique et redoutable La Traque de Serge Leroy.
