Mystérieusement décédée, l’actrice Anna Fritz arrive à la morgue où travaille l’introverti Pau. Fasciné par le corps sans vie, ce dernier prévient deux de ses amis qui le rejoignent à l’institut. Sous l’effet de l’alcool, les invités cèdent à la nécrophilie. Mais Anna Fritz revient à la vie.

The Corpse of Anna Fritz est un huis clos diabolique co-écrit et réalisé par le catalan Hèctor Hernández Vicens, bien décidé à se faire une place au sein du cinéma de genre ibérique. Avec une économie de moyen admirable (quatre acteurs, lieu unique, unité de temps), il façonne un jeu infernal qui se referme sur ses protagonistes, obligés de sombrer de plus en plus loin dans l’horreur et la transgression.
